Bov-eye Veterinary Services is a mobile practice primarily focused on large animal species. Started in 2019, the practice services northern Colorado from the front range to the high plains.
Dr. Kathy Whitman is a Colorado native happy to be back home to practice since graduating from Colorado State University in 2006 with a DVM and MS in Ruminant Nutrition. After spending a year as a large animal intern at the University of Georgia, Dr. Whitman went into private practice in Logan, UT, primarily working with livestock and horses, but also caring for the furry family members of the farmers she serviced. From 2013-19, Dr. Whitman taught future veterinarians for the University of Nebraska near the US Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, NE. In addition, she provided veterinary care for the research livestock and support of research activities. Recently, she received her board certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Beef Cattle Practice. Although cattle is her focus, Dr. Whitman will care for any species.
CW Tollefson is Dr. Whitman’s number one (and only!) employee, biggest supporter, and best friend. CW received his MA in Agriculture Education from Colorado State University in 2010. Outside his stint as an educator and rodeo coach, CW has years of experience in livestock production and is responsible for managing the few head of cattle that he and Kathy have together.
The partners are excited to bring their experiences and expertise to northern Colorado, and more importantly, have a great desire to form lasting relationships with livestock and pet owners alike.
